The general aims of the Institution include

  • to promote Data Center trainings in Hong Kong;

  • to help to foster greater exchange and interaction between IT, Data Center Professionals and Facilities Managers in and outside China;

  • to encourage and facilitate the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information among local Data Centre / IT Engineers on professional knowledge developments;

  • to secure and develop contacts with other IT / Technology organizations and engineer’s institutes with similar aims and interests in Data Centre / Facilities Management / Building Services Engineering;

  • to sponsor conferences and other Data Centre events consonant with the above aims;

  • to provide consultancy services and professional advice with regard to training, planning and evaluation on Data Centre Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance for private organizations, commercial institutions, government and other non-profit making companies;

  • to familiar with IT / Data Centre professionals expanding business network and sharing real experience among the industries; and

  • to promote publications which are in line with the above aims.
